Term 1 Week 3 | 2025

Recently we celebrated the remarkable journey of our 2024 Graduates which allowed us to reflect upon their years of perseverance, dedication, and growth. Throughout their time at Kildare, the graduates of 2024 have not only excelled academically but have also enriched our community with their diverse talents, vibrant spirits and ability to live out our Core Values.

We were thrilled with the outstanding Year 12 results of our Graduating Class of 2024:

  • 100% SACE Completion
  • An impressive 91.6% of our students achieved grades in the A and B grade bands, surpassing the State average of 76%
  • 22% of our students attaining an ATAR of 90 and above
We also congratulate our Dux, Maddison Montgomery who achieved a University Entrance Score of 99.95 and a Subject Merit in Biology. Maddison will be undertaking a Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine (Honours) in her further studies. Sophie Roberts, the Proxime Accessit, achieved a University Entrance Score of 98.70 and will study Physiotherapy (Honours). We also welcomed the news that Abby Jones received one the Adelaide University Principals’ Scholarships.

As we celebrated the achievements of our 2024 Year 12 Graduates, we also extend our congratulations to the students who have demonstrated exemplary academic performance in recognition of their hard work and dedication. These awards are a testament to their commitment to learning and their determination to succeed.

Our Academic Awards are presented to students who achieve excellent results across most of their subjects whilst the Endeavour Awards acknowledge students who have been recognised for their consistent effort and positive attitude towards learning.

Whilst proud of all our students, this was a welcome opportunity to celebrate the success of the many students who worked hard over Semester 2 of 2024.

We look forward to celebrating our 2025 students as the academic year progresses.

The Year 11 cohort participated in a meaningful retreat focused on the Core Value of Compassion. The day began with prayer, giving students time to reflect on their year so far and their personal growth. Each student wrote a letter to themselves, fostering self-compassion and introspection.

Students enjoyed bonding activities at Kingpin Bowling, building deeper connections with their peers in a relaxed and fun environment. Bowling serves as a powerful metaphor for life: sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but the key is to always keep your head high and never give up. It is a reminder to stay resilient and persevere, no matter the outcome.

A highlight of the day was a Compassion activity led by Nikki Carabetta, where students learned about Indigenous communities and their cultural practices. Through a traditional weaving workshop, they created Indigenous-inspired earrings, blending creativity and cultural appreciation. These earrings will be sold to raise funds for the NATSICC SafePlace Program, supporting families in Indigenous communities by providing essential items such as cots and mattresses.

Students enjoyed the opportunity to reflect on their journey at Kildare College, connect with their peers, and practice compassion in a tangible way. This enriching experience highlighted the importance of growth, empathy, and contributing to a greater cause.

With the Kildare College logo proudly displayed on the advertising banner of the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, our Years 11 and 12 students were enthusiastic about the 2025 Senior Formal.

College Captains, Amelia and Jasmine welcomed all to our event and we enjoyed a delicious three-course meal. At Kildare College we value providing our students with the opportunity to interact, forge connections, and unwind, in a fun environment outside of the classroom. It was genuinely heartwarming to see new friendships initiated and existing ones consolidated.

A feature of the evening was the ever-crowded dance floor, with barely an empty spot. And the conga line must have had over 100 members as it snaked its way around the venue, a true embodiment of Kildare College spirit.

Every student who attended emphasised that it was a genuinely happy night, with a strong spirit of connection on show, and the Senior Formal was truly an ideal platform for a successful 2025.
