Last week we gathered to celebrate and enjoy the Kildare College Sports Day at the Bridgestone Athletics Centre in Salisbury. After our Sports Day was postponed earlier this year, we were finally lucky enough to get a day with beautiful weather. It was great to finally be able to get out on the field and have students and staff celebrating the day together. The day was full of friendly rivalry and joy as students gave their all for their House.
Each of the Houses came up with clever and entertaining chants with Brigid once again claiming the Spirit Cup. Congratulations to Delany for winning the day! This makes them the champions for the fourth consecutive year.
We also congratulate our Year Level Champions:
Year 7 – Franceska
Year 8 – Gabriella
Year 9 – Aizure
Year 10 – Phoebe (Overall Champion of the day)
Year 11 – Ella
Year 12 – Charli
Thank you to all students who attended the day and to the staff who helped make it the success it was.
This morning we welcomed mothers, grandmothers, and female caregivers to our third annual Mother’s Day Breakfast. The event was a resounding success, with over 350 attendees, including students, gathered to celebrate and honor the special women in our lives.
The breakfast spread included a variety of delicious treats such as croissants, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, and a selection of beverages including tea, coffee, and juice.
One of the highlights of the morning was the interactive game of pass the parcel, which was enjoyed by guests of all ages. This game not only offered prizes but also provided moments of laughter and shared experiences among family members and friends.
Throughout the event, there was a palpable sense of love and appreciation as everyone took the time to reflect on what their loved ones mean to them and express what they admire and cherish about each other. It was heartwarming to witness these moments of genuine connection and affection.
As the morning came to a close, there was a collective feeling of gratitude for the presence and influence of mothers and female caregivers in our lives. The event served as a meaningful way to kick off Mother’s Day celebrations, reminding us to cherish and acknowledge the gift of these remarkable women.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers, grandmothers, and female caregivers who enrich our lives with love and care!
