The Class of 2025 along with their family and friends, gathered in the sacred space created in the Brigidine Centre to celebrate their final Mass together as a cohort. The Mass brought a beautiful sense of reverence and reflection, while we cherished the uniqueness of each student and looked back on their contributions to our community during their time at the College.
The Subject Dux and College Medal presentations followed the Mass and was a joyful event. The Subject Dux awards were presented to the students with the highest ‘A’ grade in their subject, based on school assessed work. Our College Medals were awarded to students who have positively contributed to the College and wider community, for various achievements and outstanding contributions.
Over recent weeks, we have been encouraging our Class of 2025 to give some thought to their Legacy, as a group and as individuals.
What type of person have they matured into? How would they like to leave their mark on our community? The culmination of this was Legacy Day.
They reflected on their past and celebrated the present. Students revisited their primary school selves by wearing their Reception photos tied around their necks while some also recreated their hairstyles and wore their primary school senior uniforms.
Traditionally, graduating students personalise and decorate a white shirt and hang it on display, and this year was an exceptional display of creativity and artistry. The Hall was quickly transformed to a beautiful exhibit of colourful creations as each students’ shirts represented their personality and flare. It was a magnificent display of community, and was topped off with a shared lunch, music and laughter as the cohort enjoyed the afternoon together.
At our Farewell Assembly, each Year 12 student was acknowledged as they processed into the Brigidine Centre Gym for one final time. A meaningful vote of thanks was extended to the Student Leadership Team for their dedicated and distinguished service to the College throughout 2025. Their final act of leadership was to ceremoniously hand over the honour of being a leader to the 2026 Student Leadership Team, marking the beginning of a new chapter.
At the conclusion of our assembly, students were invited to leave the Brigidine Centre Gym for the final time with their families right behind them. The Class of 2025 and their families then took a moment to share warm hugs and shed a tear before the final cohort photo of students in their uniform was taken. The outpouring of emotion from students and proud families perfectly captured the close-knit bonds of the Class of 2025.
