The William Magarey Room at Adelaide Oval was buzzing with excitement as graduates and their families gathered for our 2025 Graduation Dinner. It was a night of celebration, reflection, and optimism as the Class of 2025 attended their final Kildare College event.
Elegant dresses complemented the beaming smiles of our graduates, with proud families watching on as each student was presented to our Principal, Mrs Neate. In keeping with tradition, she farewelled the Class of 2025 with a heartfelt ‘Toast to the Graduates’, officially welcoming them as Old Scholars and reminding all that they will always be part of the Kildare College community.
Our College Captains, Jasmine and Amelia, delivered their final address with warmth and sincerity, sharing messages filled with gratitude and authenticity. Once the formalities and meals concluded, the dance floor came alive as families and graduates celebrated together in true Kildare style.
A deep sense of gratitude from students and families has been evident across all end-of-year celebrations. As the evening drew to a close and families slowly departed, the strong connection between staff and families was clear for all to see.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025. We will miss you, but you will always remain a special part of our community.
Ripple, the 2025 Creative Industries and Home Economics Exhibition, celebrated the way ideas, imagination, and innovation flow outward, creating impact far beyond the classroom. This year’s event brought together students, families, and our wider community to experience the remarkable pathways our young creatives are forging across Art, Design, Photography, Media, Woodwork, Jewellery, Child Studies, Food and Hospitality, and Textiles.
Throughout the exhibition space, guests encountered a dynamic range of work that reflected both technical refinement and deeply personal expression. From expressive visual art pieces and sculptural ceramics to thoughtfully designed textiles, jewellery, and timber constructions, each creation revealed a story of growth, courage, and exploration. Our senior students showcased ambitious folios that demonstrated not only their mastery of their chosen mediums but also their readiness for the creative industries beyond school.
Ripple also spotlighted the collaborative and interdisciplinary learning thriving within our programs. This year’s exhibition was our largest to date, showcasing work from Year 7 to Year 11 across both faculties, along with an impressive 75 pieces from our Year 12 students. Both Creative Industries and Home Economics have grown exponentially, and we are incredibly proud of the calibre of work our students are producing. This year’s event buzzed and hummed with an energy unlike ever before.
Guests were also treated to delicious creations prepared by our Year 10 Café Culture students, who thoughtfully designed a menu inspired by the theme Ripple. From subtle details in presentation to flavours that echoed the idea of movement and flow, each element added a warm, sensory dimension to the evening and highlighted the richness of learning within Home Economics.
As we reflect on Ripple, we are incredibly proud of the confidence, skill, and imagination shown by every student. Their work reminds us that creativity starts as a small drop, an idea, a question, a spark, and grows outward to create lasting impact. We look forward to watching our students continue to make powerful ripples in 2026 and beyond.
From the stage lights of our annual production to the excitement of community events, this year’s dance journey has been nothing short of inspiring.
Our major production, XOXO, took audiences on an emotional journey through the ideas of connection, culture, and belonging. Blending dance, drama, and music, the show invited everyone to reflect on what it means to be part of a community, to feel welcomed, to offer kindness, hospitality and to find home wherever life takes us. This production was also a true celebration of global dance, with students embracing new styles and techniques drawn from cultural styles, including Flamenco, Belly Dance, and K-Pop.
In the competition arena, Kildare dancers once again shone brightly at Dance Ultra 2025. Our Senior dancers impressed with their artistry and precision, earning a spot in the first-ever Dance Ultra State Championships. Not to be outdone, our Year 10 dancers delivered a captivating 2nd place performance in Middle Jazz, showcasing both their growth and energy on stage.
Beyond competitions, Kildare dancers continued to share their passion throughout the community. From school assemblies and liturgies to transition visits and special performances, each moment offered a chance to spread the joy of dance. One of our recent highlights was performing at the 2025 National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant with a performance that filled Victoria Square (and our hearts) with festive spirit. The pre-pageant performance was a wonderful reminder of how dance connects us all, bringing smiles and celebration to those who gathered to watch.
Celebrating Outstanding Student Achievement
This year, our dancers continued to raise the bar both at home and abroad. From international workshops in New York and Ireland to national and state-level competitions across Australia, Kildare students have represented the College with skill, dedication, and grace. Many were selected for elite programs, company intensives, and national teams; achievements that reflect not only their personal drive but also the depth of talent within our dance community.
Whether performing on global stages or leading in local showcases, our dancers embody the artistry, and ambition that define Kildare Dance – Precision. Passion. Power.
As we close out 2025, we celebrate not only the applause, awards, and spotlights but the drive and ambition that power our dancers forward. Kildare College continues to be a launchpad for young performers who are not just participating in dance, but shaping its future, locally, nationally, and on the world stage.
And…we can’t wait to go bigger and bolder next year.

Last week, our Brigidine Centre Gym was filled with warmth, laughter, and joy as we welcomed over 300 people to our annual Grandparents and Special Friends Celebration. The afternoon was full of love, wisdom, and togetherness that these special people bring to our students’ lives.
Guests were treatedto a delicious afternoon tea featuring freshly baked scones, donuts, warm sausage rolls and sweet treats, prepared by our generous staff. The atmosphere was alive with chatter and affectionate conversations as students proudly shared how much they love and cherish these special people who enrich their lives. For many, it was an opportunity to pause and appreciate the generations of care and stories that connect families across time.
It was truly beautiful to see so many of our students spending time with their grandparents and special friends, laughing, playing and even competing together to win some chocolate prizes in our Bingo games.
Events like this remind us of the deep sense of community and connection that lies at the heart of Kildare College and the importance of welcoming all. We thank everyone who joined us for making the day so special, and for the enduring love, kindness and support they continue to share with our students. It was a celebration that truly embodied our motto of Strength and Gentleness.
