The Kildare College community came together last week to celebrate our annual Sports Day at the Bridgestone Athletics Centre. We were fortunate to enjoy warm weather, creating the perfect conditions for a successful and energetic day.
Students and staff embraced the spirit of the occasion and proudly representing their House. The atmosphere was filled with encouragement, friendly rivalry and House pride, as students gave their best across the wide range of track and field events.
Each House demonstrated outstanding camaraderie and creativity, particularly through their chants and cheers, which added to the excitement and energy of the day.
Congratulations to Chanel House, who were awarded the Spirit Cup for their enthusiasm, encouragement of others and strong team spirit throughout the day.
In an exciting conclusion to Sports Day, Nagle House emerged as the Overall Champions, a well-earned achievement that reflected the dedication and teamwork shown across all events.
We would also like to recognise our Year Level Champions for 2026:
Year 7: Summer N
Year 8: Ava W
Year 9: Elsa M
Year 10: Rebecca L
Year 11: Aizure C
Year 12: Lara K
A special congratulations to Ava W, who was also named Overall Year Level Champion for 2026, an outstanding accomplishment.
Thank you to all students for their enthusiastic participation and positive approach throughout the day, and to the staff who generously gave their time and effort to ensure the event ran smoothly. Sports Day was a wonderful celebration of community, participation and House spirit, and a highlight of the year.

The Brigidine Centre Gym was filled with over 500 people including mothers, grandmothers, and significant women who joined their daughters and granddaughters for our Mother’s Day celebration. It was a special opportunity to recognise the women who support, guide, and care for others across generations.
Families were welcomed by a selection of food including sausage rolls, scones, sandwiches, and sweet treats. The space quickly filled with conversation and laughter as people settled in and enjoyed time together.
There was something for everyone throughout the afternoon. Some chose to join in games, others spent time on the reflective activities, and many simply enjoyed being together and catching up.
The afternoon tea created space to acknowledge the important role women play in our lives.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to those who worked behind the scenes to make the afternoon run so smoothly. It was a lovely reminder of the strength of our community.
