As the first signs of spring emerge, we reflect on the close of another wonderful term, where the changing season beautifully mirrors the remarkable growth in our students. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and resilience continue to impress us, and it is truly a privilege to witness them embracing challenges and seizing every opportunity. Term 3 has been filled with moments where their energy, determination, and talent have shone through as they explored new interests, deepened connections, and thrived. Watching them step into these challenges with confidence has been truly inspiring.
This term, our students have engaged in a rich variety of experiences, from the joyful Brigidine Day celebrations and the lively P&F Quiz Night, to the vibrant energy of Wellbeing Week and the reflective Walks for Wellbeing. The Futures Fair sparked excitement for what lies ahead, while events like the Tea Tree Gully Youth Achievement Awards, the STEM MAD competition, Birthday Cupcakes, and Father’s Day celebrations showcased their talents and sense of community. Each of these experiences offered our students the chance to not only have fun but also to step into leadership roles, collaborate, and support one another.
We continue to be amazed by the creativity, curiosity, and determination our students bring to everything they do. Whether working on academic projects, leading initiatives, or representing Kildare at external events, their commitment to excellence and one another has been evident. Our Senior students, in particular, have set an inspiring example – mentoring younger peers and taking on leadership roles with maturity and a deep sense of responsibility. They have been fabulous role models, demonstrating what it means to be strong, independent young women who are not only focused on their own success but also deeply invested in the wellbeing of those around them.
We are incredibly proud of all our students and everything they have accomplished throughout Term 3. Their passion, perseverance, and willingness to embrace every opportunity continue to inspire us all.
Thank you for your continued support.
With much anticipation and excitement, we welcomed our 2025 Year 7 students and their families for their Term 3, Orientation Day.
Over the course of the day, these students from a variety of different primary schools, embraced new skills, encountered new experiences and formed new friendships along the way.
With the support and care or their Kildare student leaders, many new memories were formed.
One of our activities was to ask the Year 6 girls, “What are you most looking forward to at Kildare College?”
This is what they shared . . .
- Making new friends.
- The Special Entry Dance class and Cooking, Science, Woodwork and English lessons
- Camps
- Playing Netball and Volleyball
- Meeting all the teachers
- Meeting new people, having more opportunities and different subjects
- Moving from class to class with new subjects
- The amount of sports options which are available
- Cool lessons and making lots of friends
- Being with my older sister.
We are excited to see our Year 6 girls again in Term 4 for their Transition Day, as well as their parents at the Parent Information Evening on Wednesday 6 November 2024 at the College.
Over the past two terms, Kildare College fielded a total of nine sporting teams across Soccer, Badminton, and Netball. Our students displayed exceptional talent, teamwork, and sportspersonship throughout the competitions, and we have some fantastic results to share.
Weekly Netball
Our Year 8C1 Netball team had a very successful season of netball by winning their Grand Final! Despite having setbacks with illness and cancelled trainings, they played consistently throughout the two terms, and had a spectacular win on Grand Final day. Congratulations to all the players and our coaches, Daniel Lauterio and Leah Ebert.
We also want to acknowledge the impressive efforts of our Year 10A and Year 7C Netball teams, who finished as runners-up in their respective divisions. Well done to the players for displaying a high quality level of Netball throughout the season and to our staff coaches Janelle Vanderloo and Catherine James for getting them to the finals.
Statewide Soccer
Our Statewide Soccer team had an incredible run, winning both of their main round matches. Their outstanding performance has earned them a spot in the finals, in which they played against Loreto College and Henley High. They lost to Henley in the Grand Final, but did an exceptional job to come away with second place. Thank you to our coaches and linesman, Stefan, Anthony and Tara.
Bendigo Trip
During the recent Bendigo Trip, we had two teams participating. Kildare 1 gave a strong performance and secured a commendable third place finish. Congratulations to all players who took part and represented our school with pride!
Overall, it has been an action-packed and successful term for our sports teams. We look forward to seeing even more great achievements in the upcoming matches.
