As we approach the end of Term 2, it is timely to reflect on all that is good with joy and gratitude. Throughout the term students have enthusiastically engaged in everything that Kildare has to offer. They have taken part in meaningful experiences that encouraged collaboration, creative thinking, and personal development; skills that are vital to becoming thoughtful, empathetic members of the community.
Guest speakers, excursions and incursions, provided a variety of learning opportunities that enriched our students’ skills and knowledge, while also providing authentic real-world experiences such as Subs in Schools, testing F1 cars in STEM, Cafe Culture, Food Trucks, Self-care presentations, Study Skills and more to name a few. Feedback from the students tells us that these opportunities are highly valued and thoroughly enjoyed.
Our College Captains, Prefects and other Student Leaders have participated in leadership development opportunities and hosted initiatives to raise awareness and funds for different causes including the Brigidine Asylum Seeker Project, which is a Kildare Ministries Community Work. We anticipate some creative and enjoyable events in Term 3.
As we reflect on the past six months, we want to extend our gratitude to our entire Kildare community for your continued support and encouragement during this time.

Our 2025 Dance and Music Production, XOXO, took audiences on a powerful journey of discovery through connection, culture, and belonging — brought to life through the Performing Arts disciplines of Dance, Music, and Drama. Inspired by the people we meet and the places we go, students explored what it means to feel welcomed, to offer hospitality, and to find a sense of home, wherever we are.
Each performance was a vibrant celebration of creativity and unity, with our drama ensemble skilfully weaving the story together and ensuring the audience felt as though they were travelling alongside every performer. With a few surprises along the way — a shiver of sharks, a powerful piano solo, and songs performed in different languages — students navigated each piece with both emotional depth and playful energy.
Working in a professional venue gave students valuable insight into the rigour, responsibility, and focus required to stage a production of this scale. From lighting and sound to choreography, blocking, and timing, they were immersed in a real-world performance environment that challenged and extended their skills.
At the heart of XOXO was an exploration of cultural diversity and the power of perspective. By engaging with different traditions, values, and ways of life, students gained more than just performance experience — they developed empathy. They were reminded that we are not all meant to be the same. It is our uniqueness — our varied stories, rhythms, and roots — that shapes who we are and keeps life rich and meaningful.
A huge thank you to all performing arts and supervising staff, technical teams, front-of-house crews, and everyone who contributed to the success of this event. Your expertise and support ensured everything ran smoothly and professionally.
To our audience — thank you for your support. With our largest audience to date, your energy, cheers, and encouragement were felt backstage and made the experience even more memorable for our performers.

We were thrilled to welcome 70 enthusiastic Year 4 students from St Joseph’s Payneham to Kildare College for an unforgettable Experience Kildare Day!
As high school students for the day, they enjoyed a jam-packed day of hands-on fun and creativity. They were wowed by a vibrant performance from our talented Year 10 dancers, inspired by our XOXO Dance and Music Production. The excitement continued as they raced their own custom-built speed vehicles, let their imaginations run wild decorating pot plant holders, and got crafty with textiles to create colourful keyrings.
Our amazing Kildare Student Leaders were right by their side, guiding activities and building wonderful connections with our primary school visitors. The campus was alive with chatter, laughter and a buzz of excitement from start to finish. What an absolute joy it was to host such a bright and curious group of students!
